Scholarship for Peace and Justice: A master’s degree in international peace studies at the Keough School of Global Affairs, University of Notre Dame.

Are you passionate about peacebuilding, sustainable development and global affairs?
Here is a chance to ;

  • Join the ranks of strategic peacebuilders working at all levels of society to build sustainable peace and justice through policy analysis and political change, government and organizational leadership, and conflict analysis and transformation.
  • Prepare for a high-impact career in development practice and policymaking. Your training will include strong grounding in quantitative and qualitative methods, equipping you to become a skilled problem-solver addressing critical global challenges.
  • Acquire broad training in global affairs, plus focused training in a specific area of interest—global health, human rights, international law, regional studies, global religion, democratic politics, migration and refugees, or other areas.

The Master of Global Affairs is a post-graduate, professional, full-time, two-year residential degree program within the University of Notre Dame’s Keough School of Global Affairs. The program includes four semesters of coursework plus the summer between the first and second year.

The program is for students who have at least a bachelor’s degree or the equivalent from a four-year college or university.
Applicants are selected on the basis of grades in previous academic programs, professional experience, language proficiency, exam scores, and recommendations. Applicants are asked to write a statement in their application about how the master’s degree will advance their professional goals.

All qualified students are eligible for merit-based tuition scholarships and a stipend for housing and living expenses for two years. The level of support is variable. There is no separate application for scholarships and all accepted students will automatically be considered.

Transcripts with proof of B.A. or equivalent degree (and English translation if necessary)
TOEFL or IELTS (for non-native speakers of English)
Graduate Record Exam
Application Fee of $75.

All application materials are due by December 15.


Acceptances are normally sent out by April 1. When a decision is ready, the Graduate School will notify you via email with instructions to log back into your online application to view the decision letter.
