Mr. EKENE AGU, CSAAE POULTRY VALUE CHAIN OFFICER, FACILITATES  A WORKSHOP ON CHALLENGES IN POULTRY FARMING AT UMUAHIA ABIA STATE.

 Focusing on the challenges within the poultry farming industry, with a special emphasis on climate-smart agriculture. The event not only aimed to address these challenges but also shone a spotlight on the presence of key players in the Poultry Service Provider sector, including Mr. Chukwudike Onuoha, and featured renowned resource persons, such as Dr. C. Obieseli, Sir Ken Elema, and Mrs. Blessing Uche Elema.

The workshop revolved around the crucial theme of “Dealing with Stubborn Diseases, Drug, and Vaccine Administration.” Dr. C. Obieseli, an expert from Delighted Farms anSd Veterinary Services, delved into this vital topic, sharing insights and strategies to combat these issues. Meanwhile, Sir Ken Elema of Abia State University conducted a session on “Poultry Business Management and Agripreneurial Skills,” providing attendees with valuable knowledge and guidance.

Mrs. Blessing Elema, a distinguished Poultry Service Provider, took charge of the “Biosecurity Measures in Poultry Farms” segment, offering essential information to enhance farm safety. Mr. Chukwudike Onuoha, another seasoned Poultry Service Provider, shared insights on “Feed and Nutrition,” providing participants with the keys to optimizing poultry nutrition through his expertise at Timark Agro Services.

The interactive sessions during the workshop were marked by enthusiasm and engagement. Farmers eagerly shared their experiences and challenges within the poultry farming sector, seeking solutions to their queries. In response, the resource persons offered valuable answers and guidance, fostering a dynamic and collaborative atmosphere to benefit all participants. This event undoubtedly made a significant contribution to enhancing the knowledge and skills of poultry farmers in the region.
