EMPOWERING TOMORROW’S WORKFORCE: CSAAE REVOLUTIONIZES FUTO SIWES PROGRAM WITH FREE DIGITAL SKILLS TRAINING

In a dynamic world where digital skills are becoming the currency of the job market, the Centre for Social Awareness, Advocacy and Ethics (CSAAE) is leading the charge to equip young people with the tools they need to thrive. As part of its mission to ensure young individuals can compete effectively in the labor market and achieve financial independence, CSAAE sponsored the 2023 Federal University of Technology Owerri (FUTO) Student Industrial Work Experience Scheme (SIWES) program.

Through its Digital Skilling and Employment Project (DSEP), generously funded by the Coca-Cola Foundation, CSAAE launched an initiative that promises to reshape the career trajectories of participating students. The initiative kicked off with an orientation exercise designed to familiarize students with the program’s modalities and what they can expect from the training.

The cornerstone of this initiative lies in providing students with comprehensive training in a variety of digital disciplines, ensuring they are well-equipped to tackle the demands of today’s job market.

Participants will have the opportunity to delve into courses such as content creation, MATLAB and Simulink, cybersecurity and computer networking, cryptocurrency and forex trading, web development, and much more – all at no cost to them.

By offering these courses in an era where digital literacy is increasingly non-negotiable, CSAAE is not only addressing the immediate needs of students but also investing in their long-term success.

This initiative serves as a pillar of hope for young individuals striving to secure a prosperous future.

As the training continues, participants can look forward to gaining not only technical proficiency but also invaluable soft skills that will set them apart in the competitive job market.

CSAAE’s commitment to empowering tomorrow’s workforce through digital skilling is a testament to its dedication to fostering socioeconomic advancement and creating pathways to financial freedom for young people across Nigeria.
