In a bid to extend the reach of health insurance awareness and accessibility in Imo State, CSAAE organized a dynamic outreach program at St. Marks Parish, Federal Housing Estate, New Owerri. Targeting congregants within the community, the event aimed to educate and empower individuals with essential knowledge about health insurance.
With a turnout of 500 enthusiastic participants, the outreach became a platform for enlightenment. Attendees received comprehensive lectures on the manifold benefits of health insurance, demystifying the enrollment processes of IMSHIA (Imo State Health Insurance Agency) and NHIA (National Health Insurance Agency).
Moreover, the event provided practical assistance with a free medical check-up, an invaluable service that resonated deeply with the attendees. Over 60 individuals availed themselves of this opportunity, undergoing tests for blood sugar levels and high blood pressure, ensuring their health remained a top priority.
This strategic initiative not only equipped the community with vital information but also fostered a sense of proactive health management. By bringing such initiatives directly to the grassroots level, CSAAE continues to spearhead efforts to ensure the well-being of Imolites, one community at a time.
