CSAAE Founder to Receive an Award from Alma mater

In February 2022, Rev. Fr. Dr Godswill Agbagwa, founder and executive director of CSAAE, received a letter from his Alma Mater SEAT OF WISDOM MAJOR SEMINARY, Owerri, Imo State, Nigeria. The Seminary has decided to give Rev. Fr. Godswill and some of his colleagues an award for composing the SEMINARY ANTHEM.In 1995/1996, the SEMINARY challenged the seminarians to compose an anthem for the seminary.

The contest was open to all seminarians including philosopy and theology students.Rev. Fr. Dr. Godswill Agbagwa was in philosophy two (200 level philosophy student) then. He joined the contest and his anthem was selected alongside two others composed by his seniors: Fr. Emmanuel Aguiyi (theology student then) and Ndubuisi (300 level philosophy student then). The seminary asked three of these seminarians to harmonize our anthems into one anthem. They worked on this for several weeks and it was eventually approved by the seminary.Albanus Ogowuihe put the words into music!25 years or so after, the seminary is inviting Rev. Fr. Godswill and his colleagues over for an award. This is a welcome development and we want to thank the seminary for taking this initiative to bestow this honour.Fr. Godswill wrote this anthem in my early 20s. He chose to do good with my intelligence. This is an invitation to today’s youth to choose to do good with their intelligence. Yahoo yahoo boys, ritual killers, kidnappers and terrorists are youths mostly in their 20s. These youth can use their youthful energy and intelligence to do good not evil.
