The Youth Ethics Club (YEC) is an initiative of the Youth Ethics and Anticorruption Program (YEAP) of the Centre for Social Awareness, Advocacy and Ethics (CSAAE) that brings young people together to promote best ethical practices and tackle nagging ethical issues.
YEC utilizes innovative means to:
- Raise awareness on the importance of best ethical practices in the work world.
- Advocate for best ethical practices in the work world.
- Solve nagging ethical issues in the work world.
Through the Youth Ethics Club, CSAAE spurs conversations and engagements around social ethics, professional ethics and business ethics with core focus on:
- Good Governance
- Rule of Law
- Human Rights
- Anticorruption
- Civic Virtues
- Character formation
Among other things, YEC:
- Identifies existing unethical practices in the society.
- Provides a safe space for youths to share ideas and collaborate to promote ethical practices.
- Trains youths to resist corruption.
- Equips youths with the resources to fight corruption.
- Provides youths with the platform to report cases of corruption and be heard.
- Tasks youths to leverage on their problem solving skills to develop sustainable solutions to solve some of society’s biggest ethical challenges.
- Provides support and mentoring for youths.
- Helps government to shape policies aimed at nipping corruption in the bud and advancing public ethical principles.
Membership:
- Must be 18-40 years of age.
- Must have completed secondary school.
- Must be of good character.
- Must be passionate about promoting ethical practices.
- Must pass CSAAE Ethics Declaration.
