In a concerted effort to ensure comprehensive coverage Imolites in both national and state insurance schemes, the Centre for Social Awareness, Advocacy, and Ethics (CSAAE) took a significant step forward by organizing an Access to Health Insurance Outreach event at the Cathedral of Unity Methodist Church in MCC Uratta.
Recognizing the vital role that health insurance plays in fostering a healthy and secure community, CSAAE orchestrated this outreach to bridge existing gaps and extend the umbrella of healthcare protection to all individuals, ensuring that no one is left behind.
The initiative aimed not only to raise awareness about the importance of health insurance but also to facilitate enrollment processes, making it convenient for community members to access the benefits offered by both national and state insurance schemes. By bringing these services directly to the heart of the community, CSAAE demonstrated its commitment to grassroots engagement and inclusivity.
The Cathedral of Unity Methodist Church, a symbol of communal unity, provided an ideal setting for fostering a sense of collective responsibility towards health and well-being. Congregants, as well as community members, actively participated in the event, seizing the opportunity to secure their health and that of their families through accessible insurance options.
To further enrich the outreach, the event featured free blood pressure checks, free diabetes tests, and informative lectures on the process of enrollment into the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA) and Imo State Health Insurance Agency (IMSHIA). CSAAE’s dedication to promoting social awareness and ethical practices shines through in this collaborative effort, ensuring that healthcare becomes a shared responsibility, leaving no one marginalized in the pursuit of a healthier and more secure community.
Through events like these, CSAAE continues to make significant strides in building a more inclusive and resilient society, where the benefits of health insurance reach every corner and every individual.
