CSAAE BRINGS ACCESS TO HEALTH INSURANCE AWARENESS AND TO OVER A THOUSAND ATTENDEES AT IMMACULATE HEART OF MARY CATHOLIC CHURCH  ORJI OWERRI, IMO STATE

On the 4th of February, the Center for Sustainable Development in Africa and Entrepreneurship (CSAAE) took a proactive step towards enhancing healthcare accessibility by organizing an Access to Health Insurance Outreach at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Orji, Owerri. This initiative aimed to educate and empower the community, particularly those attending the 8 am and 10 am masses.

Over a thousand attendees were enlightened about the available health insurance options, including the Imo State Health Insurance and National Health Insurance, fostering awareness and understanding of the benefits of such coverage.

In addition to education, CSAAE went a step further by conducting health screenings. A total of 58 individuals were tested for blood pressure and sugar levels. Shockingly, one person recorded a significant blood sugar level of 539mg/dl, prompting immediate counseling and prescription support.

This personalized approach exemplifies CSAAE’s commitment to not only raising awareness but also addressing urgent health needs within the community.

By bridging gaps in healthcare access and providing crucial support, CSAAE continues to be a catalyst for positive change, prioritizing the well-being of individuals and communities in Owerri and beyond.
