CSAAE Partners With Hon Sir Tochukwu Okere
CSAAE Partners With Hon Sir Tochukwu Okere, Member Representing Owerri Federal Constituency in Empowering Youths in His Constituency on Free Digital Skills Training and Access to Laptops
In a groundbreaking demonstration of commitment to youth empowerment, the Centre for Social Awareness, Advocacy, and Ethics (CSAAE) recently held a memorable handover ceremony, where ten beneficiaries of the Digital Skilling and Employment Project (DSEP) received laptops to further their journey into the world of digital employment. The ceremony, sponsored by Honorable Tochukwu Chinedum Okere (TOSKAS), Member of the Federal House of Representatives for Owerri Federal Constituency, marked the conclusion of a one-week intensive training aimed at equipping participants with crucial digital skills.
The participants, who were carefully selected from various local government councils and wards in Owerri Federal Constituency, showed commitment, successfully completing their intensive training and passing their final exams.
At the handover ceremony which took place at the CSAAE’s Head office in Owerri, the Chief Operating Officer of CSAAE Miss Francisca Ekwonu congratulated the beneficiaries for successfully completing their training. She also encouraged them to appreciate the laptops as more than just tools for personal use. “You now have the power to turn these skills into real opportunities,” the COO stated, urging the participants to put their newfound expertise to practical use and generate income, not just for themselves, but also to inspire others in their communities.
Expressing their appreciation, the beneficiaries pledged to maximize the opportunities that the laptops and training offer. For most of them, this signifies the start of a promising career path in the digital space—one that can lead to self-sufficiency and economic empowerment.
DSEP is a core aspect of CSAAE’s broader mission to address youth unemployment by equipping young people with the core skills they need to stand out and succeed in today’s dynamic digital market. As the world economy continues to lean toward technology, the demand for skilled digital workers is only growing.
This sponsorship by Honorable Okere of this initiative is a testimony of how partnerships can impact lives and strengthen the future of communities. It also highlights the need for more private-public partnerships in Youth development.
With more partners on board, CSAAE is ready to expand its impact, providing more young people with access to opportunities to grow and achieve their fullest potentials. CSAAE’s doors remain wide open for collaboration.
