As part of our activities to mark World Health Week, C-HEALTH organized a meaningful community outreach program in the Ekeobi Community Owerri North LGA, aimed at improving access to healthcare, raising awareness, and promoting healthy living. The event was a powerful demonstration of what can be achieved through community engagement and partnership.
As part of the event, reading glasses were provided to those in need—restoring not just vision, but confidence and comfort in everyday life. Participants also received vital health education, including information on disease prevention, healthy living, and the importance of early health checks.
A key focus of the event was on health insurance awareness. Community members were encouraged to enroll in and make use of their health insurance plans to reduce out-of-pocket costs and ensure consistent access to care. This focus on proactive health financing is part of C-HEALTH’s broader mission to build a healthier, more informed population.
