2024 CALL FOR APPLICATIONS FOR GOOD GOVERNANCE MONITORS AND ANTI-CORRUPTION CRUSADERS

Together We Can Make Our Society a Better Place

With a firm belief in the power of youth engagement, the Center for Social Awareness, Advocacy, and Ethics (CSAAE) recognizes that the future of Nigeria lies in the hands of its youth. By harnessing their energy, ideas, and commitment, this network seeks to create a platform where young people can actively participate in shaping the governance landscape of Nigeria. 

In this light, CSAAE is excited to announce our call for applications from young individuals who are deeply committed to promoting good governance and eradicating corruption in Nigeria. We hereby invite vibrant young people who are passionate about good governance and civic engagement to apply to become Good Governance Monitors and Anti-Corruption Crusaders. 

Good Governance Monitors and Anti-Corruption Crusaders will work with CSAAE, our local and international partners, and relevant government agencies to promote active citizen participation, encourage responsible governance, and contribute to the overall socio-economic progress of the country.  

  • Actively engage and encourage fellow youths in your local government area to participate in governance processes. 
  • Participate in advocacy campaigns that promote responsible governance practices among elected officials, policymakers, and government institutions. 
  • Facilitate dialogue and collaboration between communities, government agencies, and civil society organizations. 
  • Educate young people about the various forms of corruption and teach them how to identify and safely resist it. 
  • Empower youths to prevent and fight corruption in their communities by developing innovative tools. 
  • Mobilize campaigns, protests, and demonstrations against corruption. 
  • Lobby for policy reforms that promote sustainable development, inclusivity, and equitable distribution of resources. 
  • Take the initiative to educate and raise awareness among youths and community members about their rights, responsibilities, and the importance of good governance. 
  • Must be a Nigerian citizen. 
  • Must be between 18 and 40 years old. 
  • Must be passionate about community service, good governance, combating corruption, civic advocacy, and volunteering. 
  • Good Governance Monitors and Anti-Corruption Crusaders will be provided with a platform to actively engage in good governance advocacy within their communities, gaining the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to effectively champion human rights causes. 
  • Participation in the network enhances leadership skills, policy understanding, advocacy abilities, and civic engagement capabilities, empowering you to become an effective agent of change in your community. 
  • Members will benefit from all-expenses-paid capacity-building programs and training on combating corruption, good governance monitoring, and reporting. 
  • When there is a funded project, active members of the network will be paid to work on the project. 
  • By monitoring and documenting good governance delivery, Good Governance Monitors and Anti-Corruption Crusaders will hold government officials accountable. Their efforts will play an active role in shaping the governance landscape in Nigeria, creating an environment that attracts investments, promotes job creation, and enhances the well-being of Nigerians. 
  • CSAAE will assist Good Governance Monitors and Anti-Corruption Crusaders interested in pursuing careers in good governance delivery to secure relevant opportunities through recommendations.
