The Youth Ethics Debate Award
The Youth Ethics Debate Award This is an annual undergraduate debate that tackles ethics issues in Africa. The aim of the debate is to raise intellectual arguments around the topic that will educate the public on all areas of the subject. The overarching goals of the competition are as follows, and their fulfilment will be the guiding factor in the design and implementation of the competition
To promote a national ethical consciousness which encourages people to evaluate situations from the perspective of morality before taking action
To promote essential skills among participant students, which they can then transfer to their colleagues. Such skills include:
• Communication
• Use of relevant information
• Critical thinking
• Original thinking
• Intellectual improvisation
• Collaboration
To promote awareness of the competition (and by extension CSAAE and its other programs) so as to widen the reach and impact of the organization and its programs.
