Most Loved Emerging Nigerian Leader for 2018 Goes Home with A Year Scholarship and A Brand New Android Phone.

Every month, CSAAE organizes the “Most Loved Emerging Nigerian Leaders (ENL) Contest”, an online contest popularly known as Most Loved ENL Contest. This contest is aimed at promoting the activities of Emerging Leaders on social media, their Community Development Project and Big Dream while soliciting for votes from the public. Each month, contesting ENLs are presented to the public using CSAAE social Media handles. For a vote to be valid, voters are expected to “Like and Follow” CSAAE Facebook Page, and comment “Most Loved ENL” under their choice ENL.

At the end of each contest, the ENL with the most number of comments is declared the winner for the month and automatically qualifies to vie for the Most Loved ENL of the Year. During CSAAE Foundation Conference in November each year, Most Loved ENL of the Year is selected among the monthly winners of the contest and rewarded. He/she must be the monthly winner with the highest number of votes among other monthly winners.

For 2018, Miss Ebiale Martha Emmanuel was selected as the Most Loved ENL for the Year among other 10 contestants and was awarded a one-year scholarship and a brand new android phone. Martha is a 300 level student of the Department of Medical Biochemistry, Faculty of Basic Medical Sciences, Cross River University of Technology (CRUTECH) and hails from Okpoma in Yala Local Government Area of Cross River State.

Her Big Dream is to become the Minister for Health in Nigeria someday and be in a position to influence and contribute positively towards creating a Nigeria, free from sexual violence and menstrual challenges for girls and women. Martha is already achieving this goal through her community development Project, Menstrual Hygiene Management for Girls with an objective to foster proper knowledge of menstrual hygiene and train adolescents in Cross River State on to make hygienic menstrual pads locally.

She confessed that her Moral Development Goal (MDG), dropping unproductive habits and face challenges with greater positivity and the attitude to conquer, has inspired her commitment to ensuring the reduction in the prices of sanitary pads and its availability to a greater number of adolescent girls particularly those who cannot afford them.

Finally, it is no longer news that Africa as a continent still battles with the crippling effects of ineffective leadership, corruption and a host of other debilitating vices which have left their nasty imprints. As they say, a problem identified is half solved. It is to this effect that the Centre for Social Awareness, Advocacy, and Ethics (CSAAE) strives to nurture, promote and encourage the rise of a new generation of leaders, with the goal of fast-tracking development and ending poverty in Africa.

Launched in 2013, CSAAE is dedicated to harnessing the potential of young people and providing the kinds of tools and training that endow them with the capacities, competencies, and character necessary to sustain themselves, create opportunities that help others sustain themselves and embrace their roles as critical actors in building a better Africa. CSAAE is registered as a non-profit organization in Nigeria and a 501(c)(3) in the United States.
