CSAAE FOUNDER IDENTIFIES INSECURITY AS THE BANE OF NIGERIA’S ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT

Moneyline with Nancy is a program on Africa’s Independent Television (AIT). During this, renowned economic voices discuss issues pertaining to Nigeria’s economic development and effective means to navigate her out of impoverishment. On the 18th of January, the founder of the Centre for Social Awareness Advocacy and Ethics Inc. (CSAAE), Dr. Godswill Agbagwa was at this program, discussing Nigeria’s bilateral relations amidst other economic concerns.

In reply to the moderator’s questions, Dr Godswill Agbagwa, identified fear of the security threats posed by kidnapping, Boko Haram, herdsmen clash, etc. as the reason behind foreigners’ hesitance towards doing business in Nigeria. He also reported the reputation of Nigeria in the United States as “An unsafe country”. Topics discussed during the show were Nigeria’s Global Reputation, Promotion and Protection of Nigeria’s National Interest, Nigeria-China investment Relations etc. Dr Agbagwa admonished Nigerian Leaders to put Nigeria first in their dealings and investment promotions, not their personal or regional interest.
