PIND-MADE to mentor CSAAE Enterprise Development Unit on M4P

PIND-MADE to mentor CSAAE Enterprise Development Unit on M4P. PIND (Partnership Initiatives for the Niger Delta) is a project of CHEVRON established to make markets work for the poor (M4P) and to promote peace in the area. MADE (Market Development in the Niger Delta) is a project of DFID.

CSAAE is among the eight organizations selected by PIND-MADE for mentoring and capacity building. This is good news for CSAAE as it scales up its enterprise development unit (C-Enterprise) to help more youths and rural women initiate and grow enterprises in areas of market demand.

CSAAE’s Founder was at PIND’s office in Asokoro on Friday to discuss details of the partnership and to meet PIND-MADE staff. He also met with the lead mentor, Ms. Adosede Paul who will be at CSAAE Owerri office this week to kickstart the mentoring. As a prerequisite for the mentoring, CSAAE Enterprise Development Team members had to attend fully funded PIND-MADE M4P Gender Mainstreaming in Port Harcourt last two weeks.

Recall that earlier this year, PIND and ACCESS Bank partnered with CSAAE to launch the Young Imo Mompreneurs Initiative (YIMI). YIMI is mentoring 100 mompreneurs in Imo, ages 18-40, selected from: Agwa, Nekede, Irete, Amaimo, Owu Amakohia and Works Layout, Owerri. YIMI is being anchored by CSAAE Enterprise Development Unit (C-Enterprise) using M4P model.
