WINNERS OF C-RAFFLE SHARE THEIR JOY

Bets, draws, and lotteries are games of luck, so it is no wonder people are somewhat reluctant to put themselves at the hands of Lady Luck. In the just-concluded 6th International Youth Leadership Career Building and Entrepreneurship Summit (IYLCBES), a raffle draw took place which saw Lady Luck smile on some young Nigerian students. These were Martha Ebiale 1st Prize (a brand new laptop), George Peace 2nd Prize (a Samsung tablet) and Abani Blessing 3rd Prize (a Samsung phone).

Our correspondent, Amadi Casmir was able to reach Miss Abani Blessing who won a Samsung Phone during the raffle draw:

Correspondent: Nice to meet you Blessing. Can you tell us a little about yourself and how you came to know about the raffle draw?

Abani Blessing: My name is Abani Blessing, I am a Girl-child advocate, Business Development analyst, Master of Ceremony and a volunteer.

I heard about CSAAE raffle draw from Mrs. Kachi Nnedi. I got a phone call and a chat about the CSAAE raffle draw that would be happening at Awka during the youth conference. I have never participated in any raffle draw and to be honest, I was skeptical but Mrs. Kachi is someone I respect and CSAAE is an organization I have volunteered with. So, I knew it couldn’t be fake. I took the leap of faith and purchased three raffle tickets at the total cost of ₦900.  A week later, at about 8:30 pm, I got an anonymous phone call from a man whose name I can’t recall because the news was too good to be true lol. The call went thus:

Caller: Hello, is this Abani Blessing?

Me: Yes

Caller: Did you purchase a ticket for the CSAAE raffle draw?

Me: Yes, I did

Caller: You just won yourself a brand new Samsung phone courtesy of CSAAE.

The rest, they say, is history.

Correspondent: You mentioned you have previously volunteered for CSAAE, what do you have to say about them because just like you, a lot of people were skeptical?

Abani Blessing: I would like to say a very big thank you to CSAAE for being an honest, trustworthy and reputable organization and most importantly, for everything being done in raising the youths to be true leaders of our great country. Life is sometimes about doing it afraid. What’s the worst that can happen? I know the bad reputation many have placed on activities such as this, but it’s also good to bear in mind that we still have people and organizations with integrity, just like CSAAE has proven to be. So, let’s not completely lose faith in due process and should learn from CSAAE to be honest and be people of integrity. I believe if we all emulate this trend Nigeria will definitely become a great country once again.

That is from a satisfied Blessing Abani. We are not just an NGO; we are a revolution. We are not just like any organization; we are unique. Whenever you hear of an organization with integrity, make sure to mention CSAAE. We look forward to hearing about your experience with CSAAE.
