Every year, the Centre for Social Awareness, Advocacy and Ethics, Inc. (CSAAE) organizes several Career Building and Entrepreneurship trainings which are open to the general public especially young people. These trainings are part of the Centre’s Career Building and Entrepreneurship Program (CBEP) aimed at inspiring and exposing participants to valuable information on career choice, entrepreneurship, jobs, studies abroad and financial management, while also diagnosing their career and business plans. The idea of CBEP is to help non-state actors in development build the capacities, competencies, and character to help facilitate development, end poverty and make Africa a better place.
Partnering with Catholic Family Outreach International (CAFO), CSAAE organized a one-day Career Building, Business and Entrepreneurship Summit at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Parish Owerri, near mechanic village, Owerri-Aba road on June 30, 2018. The summit had over 300 participants in attendance. CSAAE Career and Business Development Service Providers were on ground to deliver trainings on Business and Entrepreneurship Opportunities by Mr. James Elekwachi; Funding and Investment Opportunities for Start-ups in Nigeria by Dr. Farouk Kurawa and Decent Work Opportunities and Landing your dream job by Mr. Alex Ugwuezuonu.
Beyond the foundation training, CSAAE Career and Business Development Service Providers will provide extended consulting services to interested participants to help them land dream jobs, initiate enterprises in areas of market demand or get the education they need. Through this foundation training, CSAAE has helped over 9,387 youths to accomplish their career goals and contribute to African development.
The training is an opportunity for senior secondary schools, tertiary institutions, churches, student associations, cooperate bodies and NGOs to help their young people build the capacities, competencies, and character to accomplish career goals and contribute to African social economic development. Available packages for the training include a single panel training which covers one key area, a multi-panel training covering more than one key area and a full panel training that covers all key areas.
CSAAE is an international non-profit organization founded by Rev. Fr. Dr. Godswill Agbagwa, a priest of the Catholic Archdiocese of Owerri resident in U.S.A. The Centre is registered in Nigeria and USA to redress the challenges of leadership, poor entrepreneurial spirit, and misguided social and moral sense – all of which are believed to be causes of poverty and underdevelopment in Africa. It is accomplishing these through four youth-focused programs designed to nurture a new generation of African leaders imbued with the character and skill set necessary to facilitate development, end poverty and make Africa a better place. The programs include the Emerging African Leaders Program (ELP), Career Building and Entrepreneurship Program (CBEP), Students Ethics and Anti-Corruption Network (SEACON) and Network of Effective African Leaders (NEAL).
